GRADING GUIDELINES:
Here are the GRADING GUIDELINES we use. On some listings, we describe an items condition in detail instead of using a grade. If you would like more information on any item, just drop us a line!
NOTE:
WE DO NOT USE THE GRADES M (MINT), M - (MINT MINUS), OR NM (NEAR MINT).
===============================================
* COVERS *
SEALED: LP has never been opened, a factory sealed copy.
EX (EXCELLENT): Our top grade. Outstanding, not far from perfect condition. No more than a couple of small flaws, if any. Hardly any wear.
EX - (EXCELLENT MINUS): Very nice condition. A small amount of surface wear, or a couple of small flaws like minor corner dings or very light creasing, but still top notch.
VG + (VERY GOOD PLUS): Minor flaws. May include light surface wear or light ring wear. Can include some seam or spine wear, however there are no splits or tears in this condition unless indicated. Possible creasing or dings, but still relatively minor in this condition.
VG (VERY GOOD): An average used record cover. May include some seam splitting, writing, surface and/or ring wear, creasing. Most buyers are satisfied with covers we have placed in this grade for their collections.
VG - (VERY GOOD MINUS): Substantial signs of wear and use, and significantly less than perfect.
G (GOOD): Significant use and wear. Covers in this condition have lots of visual flaws or have never been properly cared for. Possible improper storage, tears, bends, etc. Unless it is a very rare item, we tend to not list many items in this condition.
F (FAIR): Shows damage and much wear. You will not see us selling many of these. Reserved for rare items nearly impossible to locate for sale.

* VINYL *
EX (EXCELLENT): Near perfect condition.
EX - (EXCELLENT MINUS): Not far from perfect, possibly a couple of insignificant, small flaws. Very clean and shiny surface, and little evidence of much play or handling. Minimal audible imperfections.
VG + (VERY GOOD PLUS): A few visual imperfections or minor flaws. Possible light scuffing or light scratching but not deep. Light audible imperfection may be present. The surface is still clean and retains much of the original gloss and luster.
VG (VERY GOOD): Average condition for a used record. Visible scuffing or surface wear may be present with possibly some medium depth scratches. Records in this condition might have some audible surface noise and ticking, however visibly the surface still has some shine to it.
VG - (VERY GOOD MINUS): More significant visual wear, use and deeper scratching that causes surface noise and pops, but no skipping or repeating.
G (GOOD): Shows signs of much use, with probable significant noise to be expected. We will rarely list items in this grade unless they are very hard to find items.
F (FAIR): Large amount of deep scratches and lots of wear. The only records we ever list in this condition are the rarest of the rare and nearly impossible to find.
