HEIDI SIEWERT LP, Inserts, and AUTOGRAPHED cover
"HEIDI AND RUDY"
Record Number MI-78 D-123/124, Private Label
Very unusual package from Austrian American Folk Artist HEIDI SIEWERT. I believe this is from the seventies. There are 2 inserts- one is a copy of her appreciation certificate from The American Folklife at the Library of Congress and the Illinois Arts Council for her contributions to the study of ethnic folk arts in Chicago during the summer of 1977. The other insert is a copy of her significant cultural contribution in the Festival of American Folklife in Washington, DC 1976, presented by The Smithsonain Institution and The National Park Service.
Musically, Heidi is an unusual Folk Artist whose style incorporates yodeling into her vocals. This is an exceptionally rare and difficult album to find, and hardly ever turns up for sale. It has a plain white cardboard cover, which is signed "Heidi" by the artist. The cover has 9 small (less than 1 inch) pieces of clear tape and an address in Lake Forest, Illinois written on it. The record has some surface scuffing and minor wear but is clean and still retains much of its original gloss and luster. The 2 paper inserts are in mint condition.
